Champions League Tuesday night preview

GROUP A:

The group without doubt has been dominated by Arsenal and Paris St-Germain as they sit level with 11 points each. Arsene Wenger faces a tough task to win the group as facing Basel away will be no easy fixture. While PSG seem to have it all tied up with an expected win over Ludogorets Razgrad, who have only scored one goal away from home in the group. Basel and Ludogorets are fighting for a Europa League spot, with the Swiss side most likely to be able to the result they need to qualify. Despite changes expected from all the teams in the group, results will likely to go as expected.

My Prediction: Basel 1-2 Arsenal  PSG 3-0 Ludogorets Razgrad

Edinson Cavini has scored five goals in the group stage, but may get rested tonight.

GROUP B:

A more exciting end to the group stage with three teams: Napoli, Benfica and Beskitas in the running for qualification into the knockout stage. Benfica face Napoli at home and will decide who goes through on the face value of the match. While Beskitas are away at bottom Dynamo Kyiv, who despite having nothing to fight for wont make it easy for the Turkish side.

My Prediction: Benfica 2-1 Napoli  Dynamo Kyiv 1-1 Beskitas

GROUP C:

Another group nearly decided with Bourissa Moenchengladbach needing to beat Barcelona away and over turn a -2 goal difference, to better Man City’s +2. The latter play Celtic at home and despite a entertaining end to end game in the return fixture its unlikely to be the same again. Pep Guardiola will make changes, but will still be to strong for Brendan Rodgers’ men. Barcelona are guaranteed top spot in the group, so the youngsters may get a go, possibly changing the outcome.

Neymar has been involved in nine goals in the group stage, but is suspended fro tonight's game.

My Prediction: Man City 2-0 Celtic  Barcelona 2-2 Borussia Moenchengladbach

GROUP D:

A group already decided for the next stage with Athletic Madrid top and Bayern Munich second. A Europa League place is to be fought after between FC Rostov with four points and PSV on one point. Both teams play each other with the Dutch champions at home. PSV will want to continue in europe with expectations being so when the group came out. Despite poor results previously they will be up for the game. Bayern versus Atletico on normal occasions would be a tasty affair, but with nothing to play for the result could swing either way.

My Predicitons: Bayern Munich 1-0 Atletico Madrid    PSV 2-1 FC Rostov
