On paper a easy away win, however Liverpool have been known for a slip up against opposition they are expected to beat. Bournemouth are not in the best of form either with one win in their last five, but as always when facing a top team will up their game.
Liverpool’s success this season has been down to their attacking threat. A frontline of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firminio and Philipp Coutinho have contributed to the team 32 goals for the season so far. Any defence that have faced last years Europa League finalists have struggled to keep them quiet, with only Burnley and Southampton succeeding in that task.
Defensively is where Jurgen Klopp’s team have had a shadow over their title hopes, yet new signing and centre back Joel Matip has sured that area up with 3 clean sheets and the sixth best defensive record with 16 goals conceded. So with such a free scoring team and an improved unit at the back it would seem a clear result, but this is the premier league.

Bournemouth have manged to lose only two home games this season, showing that Dean Court is no easy place to pick up three points. A 0-0 draw with Tottenham is comfort and should be taken as a encouraging sign going into the game. The cherries, despite being at home, are expected to set up with only one up front and enter into the typical counter attack style. Callum Wilson will need to be on form and add to his four goals for the season if Eddie Howe’s team are to pick any points up.
A major factor going into the game is injury to Coutinho who makes Liverpool attacking threat tick. Being involved in ten goals this season is a big miss for second in the table.

If Bournemouth perform defensively well and manage to condense the space to make their opponents spread wide they have a chance. Yet the strength in depth for Klopp to choose from is a concern for the cherries with international strikers Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi likely to play a part if needed.
Liverpool haven’t lost in their last six games and that is expected to continue in this game. Bournemouth have the qualities to frustrate big teams and hit on the counter. Along with Coutinho being injured the cheeries will see a chance to take something from the game, but the attacking threat of Liverpool may just be too much to handle.
My Prediction: Liverpool Win 3-1
